Innovation in Motion: From Water to Table, by the Most Direct Route

We are building a fully mobile processing facility for fish and aquaculture, mounted on a specialized deployable trailer — a solution that reshapes the way the aquaculture sector operates in our country. The idea is simple in concept, yet revolutionary in impact: processing is brought to where it’s needed — directly to the fish farm, immediately after the catch. In transit, the facility remains in a compact form; upon arrival on site, it unfolds into a fully equipped processing base, ready for operation without a single day of construction and without any investment on the part of the farm itself.

This mobility brings advantages that are difficult to achieve through the traditional approach. Fresh fish is processed immediately after the catch, right on site, and the supply chain is meaningfully shortened — there is no longer a need for raw fish to travel to distant plants, which reduces costs and preserves the product’s maximum freshness. At the same time, the facility retains full flexibility, changing location according to the season and the specific needs of individual producers.

At the heart of the project lies a new organizational model for the sector — the “custom fish processing” service. The mobile facility arrives at the farm and carries out the processing on site, and as a result, the local producer receives a finished, packaged, and fully traceable product without having to invest in a processing base of their own. Studies preceding the project’s launch establish a real and tangible need for such a service among a network of nearly 265 small fish farms across the country, with capacities of up to 50 tons per year, meeting the requirements of Article 137 of the Animal Health and Welfare Act and Article 25 of the Fisheries and Aquaculture Act.

The technological core of the facility is modern equipment certified for the food industry, combined with a specialized vacuum system. It ensures full, one-hundred-percent collection of waste products, their proper storage until handover, and zero environmental contamination — a characteristic of particular importance when working in the ecologically clean zones of fish farms.

Once brought into operation, the facility will implement an integrated management system compliant with the ISO 9001, 14001, 22000, and 45001 standards, ensuring consistently high quality, traceability at every stage of the process, and safe working conditions for staff — including in field conditions.

At its core, the project combines mobility, technology, and sustainability into a new model for organizing the fish products market — a model that shortens the path from water to the consumer’s table and opens access for small fish farms to world-class processing, without them having to bear the burden of investing in their own infrastructure.
