Investment project for the needs of a yacht port project

Project Description

Yacht - fishing port complex Tutrakan - I phase

  • Category: Engineering
  • Phase: Conceptual design
  • Client: Tutrakan Municipality

The territories in the town of Tutrakan, located next to the Danube River, provide a great opportunity for tourism development. Yachting tourism is one of the possible prospects in this direction. An established practice in the area of the Upper Danube is the differentiation of similar territories and facilities, including ports for private yachts, ports for passenger cruise ships, setting of alleys for recreation, cycling, attractive restaurants, river fishing and hotels, fishing villages and attractions.

The desire for realization of the Yacht Port “Transmarina” is supported by the proximity of the towns of Rousse, Silistra and Bucharest, as well as the historical features of the town of Tutrakan and its surroundings: The Thracian cemetery near the village of Sveshtari – Demir Baba Teke, the Rusenski Lom Peninsula with the Ivanovo Rock Churches and the Medieval Town of Cherven, numerous other historical landmarks.
The developed transport-communication structure is also very important, because it makes it possible to connect the Danube river with Western Europe and the Black Sea.

The newly planned port has two main areas:
1. Territory for the location of public and service buildings and facilities,
2. Yacht area for the location of facilities and landings, necessary for operation and service of the yacht port.

In the port area there is a landing with dry docks for long stay and wintering of 50 yachts on green planted perforated sheets. There is a necessary number of parking spaces on planted perforated sheets to secure each building and facility in the port.
